We were founded by Michael Halsall. Originally from the UK, Michael started to visit Scandinavia in the early 1990s and instantly fell in love with the region. After meeting his Swedish wife whilst a hotelier in Edinburgh along with their young daughter and son they moved to Sweden in 2015 where Michael soon set up his own travel agency, Halsall Travel (part of the Internova group) . Tastes of Scandinavia was a natural journey in Michael’s passion for helping clients discover the best of a region. Michael has also worked in Copenhagen at d’Angleterre hotel.
Gabrielle Spång is our main guide for Southern Sweden and has a degree in Ethnology and the study of Swedish traditions and culture. An extrovert at heart, Gabrielle looks forward to welcoming you and showing you the very best of Scandinavia’s traditions and cultures through its people, gastronomy and landscapes.
Christina Gartzell Ragnarsson lives in Stockholm with her family and spent most of here career working for some of Stockholm’s finest and funkiest hotels such as The Grand and Berns. Another expert, Christina loves to inject her passion, sense of fun and curiosity into every trip we curate for clients.
