
Denmark and Sweden’s Cuisine
Starting in Copenhagen you will indulge in a cooking class making local dishes, go on a guided gastro tour of Copenhagen, live like a local whilst cycling around the city before moving on to the countryside at Dragsholmslott, a Relais & Chateaux 12th century castle. On the way you will visit The Viking Museum and Roskilde Castle before experiencing foraging, a wine tasting at a local vineyard and a hygge evening. Then its over the famous Öresund Bridge to Skåne, Sweden’s breadbasket for 2 days of castle visits, a cooking lesson in a tomato farm and popping in to a food market. Then its a 2 days drive up to Stockholm experiencing two wonderful restaurants and beautiful scenery before ending in Stockholm where you will learn to bake Kanelbullar “cinnamonbuns”.
Winter Wonderland
Winter is a special time in Scandinavia. In Denmark we embrace it with hygge and in Sweden we get “mysig” cosy. This cultural and adventure trip incorporates 2 nights each in Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm and then finishing off with a visit to the “fjällen” mountains for downhill skiing, cross country skiing, dog sledding and ice fishing in Åre, Jämtland.
Summer in the Fjords
Arriving in Oslo and after 2 days of enjoying Norway’s capital you will take a spectacular train journey up to Flåm where you will spend 2 days hiking in the hills and enjoying local hospitality. Then taking a cruise along the Sognefjord to Bergen where you will spend 2 nights taking in the culture and traditions of this beautiful West Coast city. Then set sail on the Hurtigruten to the Lofoten Islands in the Arctic Circle. Go midnight riding on Icelandic ponies, take a rib boat out and go in search of wildlife.
Stockholm’s Archipelago
Listed in the National Geographic’s Top 25 places to visit in 2025. Made up of 30,000 islands and with a newly launched trail covering 21 islands then this is a must to include in any visit to Sweden. Go kayaking, wild swimming, dine with a chef cooking on a open fire after foraging for your supper, rest in quintessentially oozing Swedish island inns, take a sauna after a fresh embracing swim, go on a nature hike with a local guide. And finish it all off with a helicopter ride.
